We had a braw time in this cracking wee B&B. The antique decor was pure stunning and the location near the main street was a real bonus. Only downside was no lift, so be ready to carry yer bags up those stairs!

The room was spacious, well-maintained, and had a comfy bed, providing a solid start for exploring. There were thoughtful touches like welcome drinks in the fridge, making the stay feel a bit more special.
There’s a lack of breakfast options since it’s not actually a B&B, which can be misleading. The check-in process was complicated, with unclear communication and a minor struggle to figure out how to get in. the shower pressure was weak—common in older buildings here—plus navigating the poorly lit stairways can be a bit of a hazard, especially with heavy luggage.

The staff at Antico Portego were very friendly and helpful.
Our experience at the hotel was unfortunately overshadowed by several issues. The shower pressure was alarmingly weak, making it difficult to refresh after a long day of exploring. there were no clear instructions for check-in, which led to unnecessary confusion when we arrived. Despite the charming atmosphere, the lack of breakfast options was disappointing, as it was not clear that it wasn't a full B&B as advertised.

The Classic Double Room was pretty basic but super quiet, a big win in Venice! We loved that it had a balcony, even if the view was just an alley. It was clean and a decent size, perfect for relaxing after a day out. the location made it easy to walk to the train station without any hassle. Just a heads up, the fridge was there, but the safe didn’t work. a charming stay with lots of character!
